Ah spring. Blooming flowers and longer days create beautiful bouquets and opportunities to be out and about, soaking up the sights and sounds of the season. One of those opportunities should certainly include the second annual Sol Blume festival.
ENT Legends and CVLT Events are building off of the success of their inaugural festival, which hosted more than 6,000 attendees and included performances by Jhene Aiko and The Internet. This year’s lineup is equally as impressive and demonstrates the founders efforts to establish themselves as contenders in music festival production.
Sol Blume has something for every hip-hop and R&B enthusiast. Want to bask in the springtime sunshine to airy vocals and empowering lyrics? Ravenna’s got you covered. Need some out of this world, off the wall lyricism and stylings, check out Tierra Whack and J.I.D. Cool, mellow melodies about falling in and out of love, Snoh Aalegra may be a sure bet. Poignant, bold badassery a la R&B, pop soul? Set your sights on headliner Jessie Reyez. Genre bending ballads with sensual and socially conscious themes? Come along, and adore the headliner and wonder that is Miguel. Keep in mind, this only accounts for about one-third of the lineup. The artists billed for Sol Blume indicate a finger on the pulse of the growing and evolving soulful hip-hop and R&B scene and a good ass time.
The lineup includes many artists who have made a name for themselves and are still on the rise in 2019. Other outstanding artists set to perform include Parisalexa, Ivy Sole, Ari Lennox, Dave B, Tobi Lou, Jess Connelly, Queen Naija and Andre Power. Good music and vibes will likely be taken in by all who attend. You do not want to to miss this festival. Assemble your squadron, coordinate your spring fits, and have yourself a good ass time. I will be sure to post all things Sol Blume post festival as I am sure there will be plenty of highlights.
